Why choose our 3D printed BCG case over other (freely available) designs?

• Enhanced Durability: Our BCG case offers superior strength over freely available  stl's. Our case is larger overall diameter, with significantly thicker walls in key areas (not possible with smaller diameter cases). A competitor (freely available stl) case that I printed for my own use was unable to survive a 3 ft drop (while empty!) on to a tile floor - it cracked completely in half at the threads, because there was not enough cross sectional area. This led me to design my own case.
• Superior Thread Engagement: Our BCG case is designed with custom threads that are optimized specifically for 3D printing. Competitor cases use standard screw threads, causing thin, knife-edged threads that print with very poor overhangs. This leads to weak threads, awkward initial thread engagement, and a poor/cheap feeling experience. Our BCG case was uniquely designed to solve all of these problems, while being an attractive addition to your gear bag.
• Heat Resistance: our BCG case is printed in heat-resistant ABS, so you can leave it in a hot car without worrying about it melting or warping. Other designs printed in PLA risk melting.
• Premium, Sturdy Product: Some 3D printed items have a reputation for being cheap (in quality and price), low durability, and disposable. Not so with us. Our BCG case is a high durability, hefty (7oz), solidly constructed product. I designed it because I wanted something I could throw in a gear bag and not worry about.
